Stopped at Aldi near 53 and Army Trail to pick up some half and half (jewel? it is to laugh) when we saw a few nice clearance deals. First they were “on sale” and then stickered with 50% off tags. Enjoyed a pack of those snack celery/carrot/cheese/dip medleys for only $1.40, which kept us going until we got home – where we are now enjoying ham and cheese sandwiches on DT bakery bread with a side of potato puffs.
One lamb in the freezer and two more in a lamb stew with 3 (!) pounds of lentils (Amazon Fresh clearance) and COD greenhouse kale (free). Perfect for snowy days.
Pasture-raised eggs were $4.99/dozen, only pennies more than what are typically the cheap eggs.
Definitely recommend checking your local Aldi for clearance deals because this store had more, but there’s a limit to what I need; your family probably has different needs/likes/wants.
