Walmart – getting paid to shop

Since some of you have been getting grief about the coupon overage, this is the official Walmart Coupon Policy to print and take with you to ward off coupon nazis.

You see here 23 individual Frigo string cheeses (.50 any Frigo product 10/2 S) and 22 CoverGirl makeup products ($8/2 October P&G).  The cheese was priced at .33 and the CG was mostly $2.94.  As per Walmart policy, the cashier handed me back $24.66.  I’ll stop by in a day or day when they have more CoverGirl products on the shelf.

    • Good to know there’s another blind fool out there. Look on the page or two before the .55 coupon. It says .50 off ANY Frigo product. I saw the .55 one for the larger sizes and thought Chicago got the rock coupons once again…but I was wrong!

  1. My Walmart (Rt 34 in Oswego) wouldn’t let me purchase the single string cheese, they said I needed to purchase what the coupon pictured. I told them that the coupon was good for any packaged cheese…string cheese is packaged…they still wouldn’t do it.

Then the Covergirl. Tried to purchase sponges, eyebrow pencils and blush. They gave me hard time about the sponges and pencils. They said those products didn’t qualify, but I could do the blush. Whatever, .24 for 8 blushes isn’t too bad. I think they were just picky about the coupons because initially they would’ve owed me money!

    • That’s completely against their stated coupon policy; if your coupons are worth more than the item, they are required to hand you back cash, which is why I bought the cheapest items possible.

      • I brought out the coupon policy and read it to them and they just continued on with their “this coupon is not good for this item” spiel. They didn’t think the Covergirl sponges qualified as “makeup”…I said to them the coupon states “face product”. I was done at that point. Oh well, all in all I scored 14 blushes for .42.

  2. was paid $15.45 CASH, as in MOOOLAH, to take 16 frigo cheese sticks and 18 CG products out of their store.

    🙂

Then, went to target for another Mossimo/Merona/Nivea round, and paid $1.45 for 5 wallets, 1 blouse, 5 tops, 1 pr shorts, 4 pkgs bandanas (Mossimo, in the mens dept/2pks), and 4 nivea

  3. Oh do I have a story….Rt. 31 Crystal Lake Walmart LOL!!!
So, I had 35 string cheese (yes, I will use that many in probably like 15 days!) and only 4 CG eye shadows at 3.14 a piece (the cheapie products all pretty much gone, and I actually needed/wanted eyeshadows). I ran through the 20 item limit line with literally no one behind me. Had the slowest, but dearest cashier ever – absolute sweetheart. By the time my transaction was done, there was a line of nearly 5 people, all of whom were sighing and groaning – REALLY people? If you all could do it, you would.
Well, long story medium length, my cashier looks at the register open with quite the puzzled look. She checks the register tape. She then looks at me and asks “Do I owe you $7.55?” Me, as politely as possible, but still shaking with excitement and the sheer desire to get that MOOLAH in my hands, “Yes, yes you do.”
She paid it out, but the poor thing was so confused I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her.
    I heart the Mart!!!

  4. damn! I ONLY had 6 Q’s but def. got my overage so I am happy! Ordered 20 more Q’s off ebay but by the time I get ’em doubt there will be much left! Not complaining though as I LOVE CG products!
