I checked this afternoon and the stock has come in (it’s a beautiful thing). I have a strong feeling that we will be one of the few Wags in the entire Chicagoland area to have sufficient stock. just sayin’
Update: I’ve just ordered 50 more coupons from Dede (right sidebar) who has several thousand still in stock. Cost was .35/each plus $1.11 shipping. Each purchase earns you points, which can be redeemed for future coupon purchases.
Wags has now upped their MotrinPM order to 600. Please let me know via comment or email the Goddess tab if you are going to require a sizable amount of product. The Sinex order for the following week has also been increased. That deal will involve the four Sinex coupons from 2/27 P&G, two fillers (I like the pocket tissue) and two of the $3 Motrin RRs. Pay $2.46 and tax and get back $10. Works for me…
Stopped by Wags to check on using the $6/2 coupon with the Motrin MM deal starting the 27th. While there they unloaded the truck and most of my stuff was in! So here it is… sorry the picture is so dark.
The good news on the M(otrin)MM front is that the actual scan of the Motrin product (from the Wags order sheet) shows the Motrin PM: the product is the same as before, so maybe they’re pushing the fact that it’s ibuprofen; you know, Nyquil Sinus becomes Nyquil Sinex…wait, that was a great decision on their part. Let’s file this one under the who knows/who cares section of marketing. As long as it makes us money…
So my Wags is putting in a huge order with the warehouse, well in advance of the sale. If the warehouse runs out, we’ll still be covered. As a matter of fact, if any of you have ordered or plan to order coupons and will be buying from the Wheaton Wags, please comment and let me know and I’ll have Steve bump up the quantity. Their numbers are pretty much incredible and we can only make them more so. This Wags takes us seriously. Oh, and Steve is still single…
Another bragging point: this Wags sold a ton of Skippy last week – and not all to me! – so congratulations to all of you who made the trip out there. You’re pretty smart readers…and i don’t care what anyone else says...
Thanks to our goddess!! While I will bless 2 different stores with my 5 coupons, I do plan to bestow the 20 coupons that are coming to me, from the cloud, at the aforementioned store.
How old did you say your lovely DD is?? Is it time to offer a sacrifice to ensure copious quantities on the store shelves??
Lovely DD? cough*cough*cough* well, today she’s not too bad, but yesterday? Let’s just say it was possible she would not see her 15th birthday… although if you’re asking to sacrifice her…
psst…mgr is putting in order for 400. if we need more i’ll tell him to, once again, bump it up. it’s gone from 50 puhleez! to 200 to 400. we might have the only stocked Wags in the Chicagoland area.
How wonderful to have a coupon friendly Walgreens! Is this one the Blanchard or Main Street Wags? I’ll be using 26 coupons.
The Blanchard store closed – this is the replacement one across the street (next to MickeyD’s) – intersection of Naper and West Loop Drive.
Is there a trick to getting them to be coupon friendly at that store? When DH (who does our Wags shopping) tried to use their grand opening coupon (I think a $2/$10?) the manager insisted the $10 had to be after all store AND manufacturer’s coupons. DH thought that indicative that the store wouldn’t be coupon friendly.
Crap! I knew the conflicting stories would come back to bite Steve in the ass…In the first week, it was $10 total, get the $3 off – nothing about mfr or store coupons. a very sweet week for RR deals, I might add… Then corporate got involved and it was $10 after coupons, which I actually have a problem with because a manufacturer coupon is a form of cash. It’s like saying, we’ll give you this store coupon but you have to use euros to pay…and then the euros won’t count because they’re not American money… as logical as a Safeway representative saying the Jill Cataldo only posted the blog about finding several years’ worth of expired product on the Dominicks shelves because she was angry they stopped accepting expired coupons.. But I digress…Steve not only welcomes couponers, he will place special orders upon request AND bumps up his regular orders to make certain that extreme couponers are covered. He’s got warehouse orders this coming week for 600 MotrinPM and large quantities of Sinex for the following week’s RR and sale. And he sold 180 jars of Skippy, so what does that tell you?
Thanks, that is a good explanation to me. Now I just have to convince DH to give the store another try.
damn, I am really gonna have to take a road trip to your wags…sure beats the limits they have up here in the boondocks!
I’ll keep hammering away until you all start to believe me: If/when you are running multiple transaction (not one or two, puhleez!), it’s ALWAYS better to do them at a store which has: 1) stock (no brainer here) and 2) a coupon-friendly atmosphere. Having a “coupon-friendly” cashier does you no good if that person isn’t working – if the entire store lives in a coupon paradise, then everyone from the store manager on down will work with you. end of rant…
How many are you going to buy? I don’t think I will beat your number 🙂
Well, I have 26 coupons right now and 50 more ordered from Dede. It’s possible more inserts will drop into my lap, but if not, I’ll have to be happy with the $228 in RRs I’ll get…poor me…
Anyone who’s serious about this deal (and using it to roll into the MM Sinex the following week), HAS to put an order in within the next day or two. She’s closed Monday, so it’ll go out Tuesday, giving us plenty of time to use them, since the sale starts the 27th.
Again, I’m hard at work on the logistics of using the RRs as cash at a salon/spa. Maybe you can’t afford to get a mani/pedi or facial for US cash, but Wags cash? Especially since the original $3 RR was FREE!
Hello,
Newbie here. While I was buying my newspaper at Menards on Sunday, I actually ran into a nice lady that who gave me some tips and she referred me to your site. I like what I see so far! A couple of ?s…
1) Do you think its too late to order coupons? Would it get to be by Saturday if I use the standard 1st class option?
2) Its the $6.00/2 coupon in the 1/9/11 SS that I should be ordering correct?
3) Do you know anyone else that has an “in” with a Wags in the Schaumburg area. They seem to run out of stock so easily which is frustrating.
….Oops, my post is missing something …..
Thanks for your help 🙂
Welcome newbie! Yes on the $6/2 coupons IF YOU ORDER TODAY. I ordered from Coupon Dede over the weekend and they shipped out this morning (no mail yesterday) – she’s fast and you build up points which pay for future purchases. Remember, the sale starts on the 27th, so you have through March 5th. Unfortunately, I really don’t know of another other really great Wags stores for stocking up – one person has commented that her Wags limits RRs deals to three on the first day of a sale. Hey dumbasses – just order more stock!!
And my recommendation to you: sometimes it’s better to drive a further distance to run all your transactions at one time and in one place, at a store where they worship couponers. It’s what the Goddess does!
Hello Goddess,
As I went to sleep, I started thinking about that……say I order as many coupons as 50 (17.50) + use gas to travel down to your WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL Wheaton Wags…worst case a full tank ($30), AND I am able to get 50 transactions in, that would still mean $(50*3) – $17.50-$30 = $102.5 in my pocket … I guess minus tax would still put me (assume 10% .. I pay that in Cook County) – $30(10% tax of $6 original price * 50 transaction). So final is $72.50 ……. I think that’s pretty good. I hope I get a answer from you since I have to make the purchase in 1 hour 🙂
Oh I’m having a problem with Dominicks and Jewel taking RRs, what would you advise I do about this? Call corporate? Is this changing just like the expired coupons.
THANK YOU so much, I’m feeling excited.
One more thing ……. do I start ordering the Sinex coupons now? I think it would be cheaper to order than buying $50 worth of Chicago Tribune (50 X $1)
Thanks again
….Oops, more ?s …..
1) When would the order be in…..I work so I would LOVE to be in on Sunday 2/27, shop and be done. Are any other ladies going to be there …. I am a bit nervous about doing 50 trans at once….not sure why, I guess seeing other people with 50 Mortin PMs in their cart will help.
2) Can I get the exact address …. or you could email it to me. my name at yahoo.
Thanks for your help 🙂
Okay, I feel like a stalker now …..unfortunately, I missed the deadline 🙁 so the order will now ship on Wed, so I’ll wait on your responses b4 proceeding. I was leaning towards 50, maybe 70…but now I’m feeling nervous. Do you think the Wheaton Wags will still have stuff in stock on Mon/Tues?
Thanks again.
picghaw: If you have 50 coupons, you will have 100 in your cart ($6/2), so look for lots of boxes or very ill-looking peeps. I will check with Wheaton to see how many have come in so far and see how it’s progressing with the Motrin AND the Sinex. I’ll update the post so keeping checking later on this afternoon for news. And if the Wheaton store is out, don’t worry about stock (hint, hint, hint).
I got your hint, so I’ll go ahead a take the plunge and order the coupons. …..changing IE tabs …….
DONE! 🙂
Re: 3rd Update
This is good news. I just hope that my coupons get in on Saturday so that I can be there 1st thing on Sunday morning. Can I get the address of the Wags …… also is there a nearby Jewel & Dominick’s (to this Wags) that takes RRs? I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone and do some grocery shopping.
BTW I order 50 coupons and if all goes well I will be be rolling some the Mortin RR into Sinex but I don’t know many I need yet.
Thanks.
The Wags is at 2020 S. Naper Blvd., traffic light intersection of West Loop and Naper, just north of a 24 hr Jewel/Osco, which is across the street from the Danada Square Dominicks. This entire area is north of Butterfield Road. Jewel obviously will take your RRs (I’ve never had problems with them for any reason), but the Dominicks has always been dicey with RR rules. Now with their “newest” written in sand coupon policy I would avoid them completely; well, unless you are just stopping in to check out their clearance meat to use your $2 Ranchers Reserve coupons.
Hey Pigchaw, Did you want the deranged goddess to buy the shit and deliver for you too?
Is that an option? I was unaware……I just found her blog on Monday(2/20), so I’m pretty green but I threw caution to the wind and jumped right in with buying 50 coupons……a gesture that is very, very unlike me 🙂 I’m going to email her for about something else so I can get details or if you can I’ll appreciate it.
Thanks a lot all of you helpful ladies, I’m feeling very welcome.
