Target shopping in the bitter cold

photo.JPGWanted to stock up on coconut water, since it was on sale and 50% off with Cartwheel: The large sizes are $4.04; the small sizes are $2.06, so take 50% off that. Note that this stuff is high tax, which totally sucks, since it’s not sweetened or anything. Crystal Light boxes were slightly crushed, so 76¢ each.  PITA found clearance LUNA bars for 6¢ each.

Why coconut water?  If you or anyone in your family gets pukey this winter, coconut water – warmed in a pan with some sugar and sliced fresh ginger – is perfect for rehydrating and fighting nausea (remove the ginger before drinking!).  Works great for people and dogs, although with dogs you have to spoon it down their throats ’cause they’re all stoics…

  1. I hit Target today too and found some fabulous clearance! And it was brutally cold!!! But, the deals were great. I grabbed tons of free candles and cheap Christmas coffee! I wondered what you were finding on your side of the Lake. Happy New Year!

    • Frankly, the shelves are pretty much bare on this side of the pond. If you should see any of the Puffs 2-pk cubes in the REGULAR section that have the owl & tree outlines, grab them because they are tagged on the computer as Holiday and thus 90% off the $2.99 price – .29 for two boxes! Alas, I have found nothing – the inventory checker lies…

  2. Will do! Thanks! I grabbed some of the Nestle Pumpkin spice and Cinnamon flavored chips and made cookies. Delicious! If a plow ever comes through, I may run out and grab some more and look for tissue!
