Saw this deal on SD very early this morning, but since it’s a national site, quite often prices are different and/or sales aren’t around here. I drove to the Target on 63rd in Woodridge and checked out the 3.5 bags of Purina One. Shelf tags said $6.49, not the $5.99 stated on SD, but when I scanned one bag it showed a $5.99 sale price. Took nine bags and used the $5 PurinaOne (any size, any variety) coupon from 1/15 S (Theraflu cover) to bring the cost down to .99 each, or 28¢ per pound.

Happy New Year! I totally need a kitty food stock up! How long does it take Dede to get out the weeks coupons? We, of course, got boned and didn’t get these coupons….
She’s pretty fast with the coupons. I got an email over the weekend that they’re going to be putting them on in batches, so to keep checking. Since Target didn’t have a sale price shelf tag, I couldn’t tell how long the sale will last. If anyone sees a tag, let us know.
But the coupon’s only for dog food, so don’t grab ’em thinking you’ll get cat food, alas.

RATS! I didn’t notice that! I wonder if the kitty will like the dog food…
Strangely enough, the cats often come over and eat the dogs’ dry food and the dogs are always snacking on the cats’ dry food. The grass is greener syndrome, I suppose.
Kinda like if you share a meal and it disappears, but if you pay full price for six, you leave five plates of food on the table???
I stopped in yesterday and was a little disappointed to see it at 6.49, but picked up 4 bags anyway, and thought I was going to pay 1.49, which is still a good price, just checked my receipt, and you’re right, it rang up at 5.99! I feel so much better now!

Just a heads up for those of you looking for Purina cat coupons (which have been getting chinzy in the newspapers). You can call Purina I believe monthly. I end up calling them about every other month and request coupons. 1-800-778-7462 I’ve been requesting the Tidy cat coupon. They’ll send you 2 $2.00 Tidy Cat coupons. They expire 3/31/12. Not sure what they’ll send after that date as this has been the same coupon for over a year. When I started calling they also had $2.00 coupons off dry cat food that was good towards any Purina product over 3.5 pounds as well.
If anyone doesn’t have a dog I’ll swap coupons for these! We have hungry wolves and limited children.
