livingsocial Fandango

Note:  This link now goes directly to the Mango Roma Chicago daily deal.  Can’t figure out how to code it so it links directly to the side bar Fandango deal which is still ongoing.  But once on the main page just click Fandango.

Hey, I know I’m a day late and a dollar short already (and the day is young), but this is a great deal for those of you who missed yesterday’s $9/2 ticket deal (like me…).  Livingsocial has a another movie deal with Fandango.

livingsocial with a full belly

Indian Food!  Yeah!  for half price?  double yeah!!  Today’s livingsocial deal is for Kama Indian Bistro in LaGrange; a $30 voucher for $15, with over a year out expiration date.  Checking their menu and the most expensive thing I see is a lobster dish for $26.

Deets:  Limit 1 per person, up to 2 additional as gifts • Limit 1 per table per visit • Dine-in only • Reservations required and subject to availability • Not valid for lunch special menu • Other conditions apply • Promotional value expires March 4, 2012.

livingsocial and green

Didn’t this place used to be a hardware store?  The problem with growing up in Oak Park and being dirt+2 means that I drive by and see all this change and I don’t like itchange it back!  thank you.

Today’s livingsocial deal is for one of two options at Green Home Experts.  Option A gives you a $20 voucher to spend for $10 and Option B gives you a 55 gallon rain barrel for $44.  I’ve checked their prices on green products and frankly, you’d have to be both a tree hugger and nutz to pay $7.99 for a spray bottle of Seventh Generation spray cleaner.  Maybe they have great sales, what do I know…

livingsocial wax jobs

Short and straight to the point: this livingsocial deal is a voucher for half-price waxing for either a bikini ($15) or Brazillian ($27) at Silky Smooth Waxing Studio, located in downtown Naperville.

And as a gesture to your tender sensibilities, I did not post any pictures…

Deets:  Limit one package (option A or B) per person, up to one additional as gifts; appointments required; all services must be redeemed during one visit and used by same customer, cannot be shared (ewww). Promotional value expires on March 2, 2012.

Fresh Start Cafe in Elmhurst

Seems like all the food deals lately are in either Elmhurst or Wheaton, doesn’t it?  Another livingsocial deal (for adults this time) is for a $9 voucher for $18 worth of menu items (plates run about $8.50; kids plates between $4 and $5) from Fresh Start Cafe.  Remember, only the promotional value expires with livingsocial deals, not the entire value of the voucher.

Deets:  limit two vouchers per person, up to two additional as gifts; limit one per table per visit; dine-in only; promotional value expires on September 1, 2011.

Monkey Zone

One of today’s livingsocial deals is for families (I read that as mothers) seeking to amuse and tire out their kids in a socially acceptable way.  The Monkey Zone in Melrose Park has a $10 voucher worth $22 for an open play session.  Admission is for two adults and two children.  (How likely is it that the adults are going to be hogging the ball pit?)  The Monkey Zone encourages running, climbing, swinging, bouncing in 32,000 square feet of inflatable bounce pits, obstacle courses, and other platforms for physical activity.

Deets:  limit one per family per visit; all services must be redeemed during one visit and used by same customer(s); cannot be shared; valid for Thursday to Sunday Open Play Schedule (walk-in hours only); not valid towards parties; recommended for children ages 2 to 10 years old.   Promotional value expires on September 7, 2011 (remember, livingsocial vouchers don’t become worthless, only lose the extra value).

livingsocial Botox deal

Our world gets weirder and weirder…a livingsocial deal involving either 15 units of Botox  or IPL Photofacial with microdermabrasion for $150 (50% off).  This deal is for So Lux Med Spa located in downtown Chicago, which is really not the geographic area of most of my readers, so my advice?  If you are looking at Botox treatments or anything similar and you either have a plastic surgeon or are scouting for one:  See if they’ll price match.  This rotten economy has put the screw to these nonessentials, so, while you may not get an exact price match, they could offer you a significant discount or otherwise sweeten the package.  Heck PITA had a mole removed from a plastic surgeon years ago and received a “Happy Birthday Discount Deal” card in the mail.  for her 13th birthday…

livingsocial

OK, there must be something dreadfully wrong with this place or it’s posing as a front for a prostitution ring….not that there’s anything wrong with that… ’cause this deal is smoking hot!  I checked out their site, and it’s pretty cool – while they have people to apply product, etc., most of the work is performed by machines.  This sounds cool, so might just try it out for only $39 for all this.  wonder if they take rr’s…

For only $39 (regularly $351) you get 3 massages, 3 luminous facials and 3 hydro-derma fusion treatments at Planet Beach Contempo Spa.

Deets:  Limit 1 per person, may buy additional as gifts;  appointments required and subject to availability; may be used over multiple visits; voucher cannot be shared; luminous facial requires $10 product pack to be paid to merchant upon arrival; purchaser may swap facial for another type of service of equal or lesser value if he or she does not want to pay additional fee • Valid at location listed in voucher title only: Grayslake (option A), Deer Park (option B), or Elmhurst (option C). Voucher expires August 28, 2011.

livingsocial

Note:  This deal says only applicable to the Niles location on West Golf Road.

Now who doesn’t like cheap pizza?  Cici’s, a pretty sweet deal to start with, just got a whole heck of a lot cheaper with today’s livingsocial deal.  Choose from either option A or B.

Deets:  Limit 1 package (option A or B) per person, buy additional as gifts; buffets (option A), limit 1 per table per visit, dine-in only; pizzas (option B), limit 1 per order, take-out only; promotional value expires on February 25, 2012

Living Social

I’ve actually been in this place, although not to eat.  It’s definitely a way-cool place for kids. though.  At the All Aboard Diner in Downers Grove all food is delivered to the table by a toy locomotive, from salads and sandwiches to specialty burgers like Todd’s Chattanooga Burger, topped with bacon, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a pickle.  Of course, none of the rugrats will be eating that, but will stick with the traditional hot dog (with catsup only!), mac n’ cheese or corn dogs.  but at least they’ll eat…

Deets: $12 for a $25 voucher; limit 1 per person, up to 4 as gifts; dine-in only; limit one per table; promotional value expires August 24, 2011.
