Make your own nutrition bars

Now this sounds kinda cool: Elements, a Chicago start-up company, is a right sidebar deal on FamilyFinds.  For $18 (reg. $36) you can custom-build 12 bars (including your own labels!) to your own allergen-free specifications or select 18 pre-made bars.  (while I don’t suffer from allergies, the thought of creating an all cranberry/nuts bar is strangely appealing…)

Deets:  Limit one voucher per person but multiple vouchers may be ordered as gifts.  Vouchers must be redeemed by August 1, 2011.

New Underwear

Hey, this is pretty classy stuff!  Today’s FamilyFinds deal is for $50 worth of intimate apparel from Biatta.  Naturally, I’d never heard of this company – apparently they don’t supply Target – so was pleased to see some great Valentine’s Day gift ideas (hint, hint, hint).  I also checked out the shipping charges for you and can say they’re quite reasonable.

Voucher must be redeemed by August 11, 2011.  All sales are final, but exchanges are allowed within 10 days of purchase (I consider this to be very generous – you won’t get stuck with a wrong size/fit/color).   Check out the gorgeous stuff in the sale section (knew I’d hit there first, didn’t you?).  They also have a nice selection in plus sizes.

and yes, the picture is of my friends and me at a sleepover – thanks for asking…

Ma Mi Skin

Just where to these people come up with these “clever” names?  Do they all sit around like the OPI drunk tank who must come up with clever, pun-nish words and phrases every three weeks!

This deal comes to us by using the right sidebar on the Today’s Deal page of FamilyFinds.    I went to their site to check out the prices and shipping costs, because honestly?  So many places have wonderful sales, but bat-shit crazy prices to start with and/or high shipping/handling fees.  Ma Mi Skin has a flat $3 shipping rate and reasonable prices on their entire line (and yes I checked, thankyouverymuch).

The deets:  $12 for a $25 voucher, limit one per person, cannot be used on shipping or tax (well, duh).  Voucher expires July 31, 2011.  Oh, and the main thing?  REGISTER NOW FOR FREE so you don’t waste time with this nonsense when there’s a limited deal going on.

Melondipity

Today’s deal on FamilyFinds is a $20 voucher for $10 for adorable hats and headbands for both boys and girls.  They have a cool “try it” app, where you upload a photo of your child and “test drive” hat models before buying!

Remember that you have to register (free) before you can purchase any of the FamilyFinds deals, so even if you don’t need something today, it’s best to be prepared (remember the Starbucks gift card people missed out on a few weeks ago…).

Note: They are currently running sales, so hit those first.  The pictured hat is called “Cherry on Top” and has been reduced from $24 to $15.  They are all so cute I want to buy them for the moosies!

FamilyFinds

Eventually the weather is gonna warm up and downtown people are going to brave the sidewalks again.  And this deal for a $10 lunch for two people at Mixed Greens sounds wonderful.   Click here to register for Family Finds (free) and place your order(s). Limit two per person, one voucher per visit, must be redeemed by July 20, 2011.

Label Daddy

Today’s deal from Family Finds is for $50 worth of personalized labels from Label Daddy for $25.  There are tons of different washable types, which should virtually eliminate the need for markers!  I really wish I had had these when my kids were younger and everything going to school/camp/daycare had to be marked.  Click here to register for Family Finds (free) and place your order(s).

Legoland for 50%

First it was Groupon, then Buyzooka, now Family Finds is shilling Legoland® Discovery Center.  This deal would be great if you are just making a one-time family outing.  Two adults and two children can spend an entire day at the Schaumburg location (and I pity those two adults) for $34.

Limit one voucher per person (nothing about gifts) – voucher expires March 17, 2011.

3 Accent XL Treatments

From those wonderful folks who brought you (but not me) the Starbucks gift card comes a deal for far southsiders:  Evergreen Laser and Medical Spa in Evergreen Park.

Someone’s gonna say this is a total waste of money, just like someone’s gonna say the results are fantastic!  I’d love to see/know if it actually does work… and be their shill for free treatments.

For $199, you get 3 cellulite-reduction treatments – your skin is heated using radio frequency waves to tighten skin, reduce wrinkles and cellulite.  Purchase limit of two vouchers per person, additional ones can be purchased as gifts; voucher must be redeemed by July 12, 2011.

Pooch U

It’s difficult enough to juggle kids class and after school activities – throw in the dog’s classes and it’s even crazier!  The site that brought you (but not me – boo hoo) the Starbucks almost free gift card is back with a greatly discounted rate for Animal Sense training classes.

Deal is $100 for a six-week session normally going for $225.   Less than $17 a week to get one member of the family to actually listen to you! Click here to check it out.  There are multiple locations in the suburbs and greater Chicagoland area.
