unnamed (2)Two of the godfathers of hilarious, edgy political comedy come to the Castle Nightclub to make you laugh while you think. Known for his explosively funny, controversial and politically charged routines about race and current events, Mooney is considered a living legend in the comedy world, having written for Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Sandra Bernhard and Whoopi Goldberg. He’s also been a writer for the TV shows Sanford and SonIn Living Color and Chappelle’s Show. Dick Gregory has used his comedy and social satire as a form of political activism, and his activist efforts have extended to more serious pursuits outside of comedy as well. Discovered in 1961 by Hugh Hefner, Gregory went on to perform nationally and on television. He earned a place on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.
