PetSmart – update

Decided to run a short list of canned pet food good coupons currently available.  If you can find any of these on clearance, so much the better.

3/13r BOGO Alpo; 3/20r $3/10 cans Mighty Dog (run 20 and pay 0); 3/27r Whiskas BOGO.  If you see any more, please comment.

.Ran two transactions today, then gave up ’cause it was so nasty outside.  I’ll hit them up again tomorrow with the Friskies BOGO from 3/27S2 making each deal 22 cans for….FREE!  These 18 cans of Friskies, one Wellness and three party mix treats cost me .65 and that was only using peelies with the $5 store coupons.

PITA and I stopped at Fannie May on the way and redeemed two more of our coupons.  Life is sweet…

  1. Can u please elaborate on how this works? Do u have this many coupons or does it take off a specific amount for bogo? I’m lost.

    • Both. Using the Mighty Dog $3/10 cans coupons as examples, here’s one transaction I plan to run five times tomorrow: 20 cans (.55/can) or $11. Take off the two $3 coupons and the $5 PetSmart coupon and what are you left with? exactly. On the BOGO coupons, decide how many cans you need to come up to $5 and then double it to account for the BOGO coupons. If the cans are .86, then 6 cans equals $5.16, so take 12 cans to account for the BOGOs. easy peasy.

Make sure to have a calculator with you. You can use your phone in a pinch, but nothing takes the place of a lightweight calculator imo.

    • The PetSmart $5 store coupon was a deal that lasted only a couple of hours. Basically, you logged onto your PetPerks account on their website and saw what coupons were available to you. The $5 was one of several, although the others were mfr coupons and one was $2 off a hamster. that one i don’t understand… If you had logged on and gotten the coupon in your account, it was set up as pdf coupon, so unlimited print. Unfortunately, it was yanked within a few hours.

Some “enterprising” souls erased/whited out the name and PetPerks account number from legitimate coupons and submitted them. This was working for the first few days, but the stores have now posted copies of the altered coupons after receiving corporate emails. The deals are good enough that this stuff is just bullshit.
