New winner of $100 challenge

Well, I gave Carrie more than 24 hours to respond – you don’t write, you don’t call, you…oh, wait, that’s another post.  So now I’ve got another name to annouce:  Beth, who was so concerned about the woman at Walgreens.  I’ve sent you an email, so please check your inbox; you have until Thursday evening to respond, otherwise another name will be selected.

The above challenge, should you choose to accept it, will start when the cash gets transferred (sorry, but this precludes out-of-town readers).  You will have ten days from that time to see how large a stockpile you can amass using sales/cats/coupons/ecbs/$$$.  Pictures must be submitted, either of the final pile or (what I’d like to see) as it’s growing with every deal.  You are free to donate to whatever charity – individual or organization – you choose.  I’m giving ten days because sometimes Wags and CVS and grocery stores have sucky deals one week, but the next week blows you away.  we’ve all experienced this!

  1. Well, I would never just leave you hanging. Truth is, I’ve taken on so much work, that don’t have the shopping time to devote 100% to this challenge, and would end up wasting the money, which would be a downright shame. I have thrown out 3 shopping lists in the past week because I didn’t have the time to run the deals. I have seen the Wags deals for this upcoming week and I’m not even sure I’ll have the time to run after those. I’m afraid I would be an epic fail.

I am totally supportive of the appropriate person to run this challenge and would love to help them with any coupons I may have in order to meet their goals.

I have to gracefully decline, I am sorry.

  2. Beth, I wanted to say thank you for bringing that woman at Walgreen’s to my attention. Next time I come across a Depends deal in L/XL, I’ll ask to be put in touch with you, if that’s okay? I’d like to help her out.

  3. Absolutely! I do live right by the Lisle Wags, and although I am not able to get there every Sunday, I do see her on the Sunday mornings that I am there, and can (and have) made runs there just to bring them to her, so I’d be happy to deliver to her. Thanks!
