This program opens, fills very quickly, and closes back down. I’ve belonged to the Nielsen Home Scan program for years. You earn weekly bonuses for all sorts of things and points rapidly add up. Complete a few weekly surveys and you’ve got gift cards in your future. NCP is usually pretty picky about who they select (their requirements constantly change) but … they took me!
I just got accepted and they are sending out the scanner/equipment to me this week. I was a little “squeemish” about doing it because I have read some things on other blogs about privacy, points not adding up quick enough…blah, blah, blah.
I am glad to hear your take on this. If you have any other insight, tips, etc. email me. Appreciate it.
Great news! They are very responsive to any questions and/or concerns so don’t hesitate to call customer service. The only times I’ve really talked to them are for new batteries (they send them out pretty quickly and give you credit for a couple of weeks in the meantime for your trouble) and when my old-style scanner crapped out (technical term). Again, got a new one and points added for my inconvenience. The first time you have to scan this entire book of codes which cover all the stores both B&M and online that are near you. After that, you’re good to go. Once a year they send out an updated book to scan. That’s pretty much it. If you shop at a store that’s not part of your usual mix, then you just enter the category (say, Animal Feed Store) – no need to do the book thing.
Great! Thanks again!
