Listen, I’ve tried to find something good to post about this upcoming week’s ad, but it’s harder than finding an honest politician…(with apologies to Diogenes).  In other words, it’s ain’t happening.  The one great thing I see is the Perdue oven stuffer roaster for .88/lb.  This is a fantastic price for these jumbo birds (6-8 pounds on average) – I plan to buy one to roast immediately and a few more to freeze (note to self:  must make room in freezers – – or befriend a neighbor – Oh, Mr. Rogers…).   With a moist, meaty bird this big you can get at least two dinners and then TACOS! without the meat being all dried out.

One other thing that looks decent is the Arm & Hammer 34-50 loads liquid detergent, also on the 3-day sale, for $2.88.  Use the $1/2 from 10/16S to take a bit off.  It ain’t cheap, but if you need this brand, stock up now.

2L Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Max are on sale for .89.  Use the $1/2 coupon from the 10/2 Pepsico insert.  .39 for a 2L isn’t too shabby, i suppose…

The rest of the “deals” look absurd:  Get free carrots, celery and red potatoes when you buy a roast that costs a minimum of $12.  Yeah, like that’s gonna happen soon.
