Master of the macabre Edgar Allan Poe has been unceremoniously thrown in the loony bin — and now he must convince the doctor of the asylum that he’s not stark raving mad. The only problem? Poe seems to be suffering from a series of terrifying hallucinations, in which spirits of his past serve as inspiration for some of his most famous works: The Raven,Silence, The Bells, Fall of the House of Usher and The Tell-Tale Heart. Royal George Theatre’s In the Asylum With Edgar Allan Poe is a fun twist on the terrifying tales of Halloween’s favorite author, and a lovingly spooky tribute for Poe fans new and old. Tickets are $14.50 on Goldstar ($27 regularly) for October performances.
