I tend towards the broad view (read:  lazy) where six months works for me – others hold them longer since Dominicks will take them back one year expired.  I was just given a stack of inserts.  First thought is “great!”  Second is, “hmmm, these are a little old”  like 2008!  The icing on the cake is the 03/03/02 Smart Source insert pictured.   Here’s a couple of pictures, just to make you giggle…
