Giveaway = we announce the winner

PITA has revealed the winner of the latest giveaway:  Donna F., whose comment was:

I’ve been afraid of haircuts all my life. The last one reenforced my fear. I started with flat middle age hair and left with a teased and sprayed cotton candy look. The ride home was priceless – not only was I shocked but other drivers were as well. It’s time to get out of basements and try a upscale salon.

Again, I have absolutely no idea why PITA picks whoever she picks and that’s just how I’m going to leave it.  I’ve sent an email to Donna requesting vitals.  In the very unlikely event she doesn’t respond by Sunday evening, another name will be selected.

But hey!  You are all winners, since you can transfer some of those boatloads of RRs that’ll be burning holes in your jeans (free from Target) to Charme for any services you wish (I’m going with facials – or maybe massages – or maybe BOTH).  See you there!

We lubs us our Giveaways!  Since the last one was geared towards four-legged people, this one goes out to the two-legged ones:  your choice from three packages of services at a Lisle salon/spa.  Charme is a full-service spa, offering facials, manicures and pedicures, massages (with steam showers afterward) and plain ole hair cuts.  The winner of this giveaway picks one package from the following choices valued at approximately $85:

1)  60 minute facial

2)  Hair cut/shaping and styling with deep protein conditioning treatment

3) Foiling (full head) – note that this option is limited to: 1) shoulder length or shorter hair and 2) hair healthy enough to be processed (at the sole discretion of the salon owner).  If hair is not healthy enough for processing, either of the other options may be chosen.

This giveaway ends Friday, March 18 at 5 pm, when PITA will select one entry from all those who comment.   Winner has until June 15, 2011 to redeem voucher.

Breaking News!!

You know how I’m always harping about how important it is to take “me” time on a regular basis; you know, pamper yourself.  Since we are going to be seeing some serious accumulation of RRs in the next few weeks (and let’s face it, how many groceries do we really need?), I’ve got a way to pamper yourself and not feel you’re taking the food out of your kids’ mouths…..

I’ve also been authorized to offer all my readers this bonus:  make an appointment for any of the services listed on the Charme website or purchase any products and pay using your Register Rewards!  Very few restrictions apply:  when making an appointment, please advise that you are planning to pay with RRs (to prevent RR overload); the Wags “currency” converts at 80%, so every $1.25 RR converts to $1 US; the RRs used for payment must be at least one week from expiration at the time of payment and finally, any taxes incurred must be paid in US currency.

Note that you may pay with any combination of Wags and US currency.

  1. This couldn’t come at a better time! I desperately need a haircut and deep conditioning! My hair has been breaking off at the ends because it’s so dry!!! Pick me PITA, Pick me!!!!

    • But don’t you see? Even if you don’t get picked, you can still use all the RRs you’ve accumulated from the Motrin, Fruity Pebbles and the upcoming Almay and Tena deals! This is a godsend for me because frankly, I need fourth dimensional freezers (’cause the 3rd ain’t working out so good) to handle all the Dominicks and Wags clearance deals.

    • Beware of stylists who keep pushing “products” to maintain your look. My personal look is wash and air dry, not gel, scrunch, curl and spray. Have you ever considered moving to Texas – the land of big hair?

  3. wow, I would LOVE to have a new style…tired of going to great clips where all the peeps apparently failed beauty school since they can’t cut straight to save their life!

    • hint, hint, my ass. Who do you think you’re kidding? PITA polished her nails over the week-end (also polished a bathroom sink and a couple of rugs – has to work on her technique).

  4. I would love to win this prize!!! I need a massage to recover from the stress incurred from meeting you (Chris) at our Jewel, when you shouted – “You’re buying the wrong chicken patties!!!” : ) : )

    • I remember that and often wonder if I had scared you away from that Jewel! Isn’t the new manager awesome? Last manager was great, but this one really likes to heavily stock up products for catalinas.

      • No you didn’t scare me away. I thought it was hysterical that you then jumped in my lane, after you saw my CAT machine was working. You then started saying, “Hurry lady, hurry!!!!”

  5. I never know what to do with my hair and alway get the cheap haircuts. It would be nice to get treated to a nice haircut for a change

  6. Snow – Coughing – wind – sniffling – sleet – sinus infection – ice – antibiotic – cold – sneezing – rain – itching – dark – bronchitis – dreary – antibiotic. Will this winter never end??? I need to escape – I need a spa visit!!!
