Frankly, this is a vent over how miserable the last year or two have been for decent garage sales. Since I practically live on these deals, I am particularly aware of just how pitiful the selection has been and how unrealistic the prices are. And yes, I am fully aware of how you bargain on prices, but when someone puts a $12 price tag on a used men’s shirt, it’s not coming down to reality any time soon! A friend of mine thinks this is due to the economy: when it’s good, people just want to clear out stuff, when it’s bad they’re trying to make as much as they can. Odd, but logical. And yes, there have been a few good finds each year, but since I shop for a few years ahead, I’m gonna get hit with nekkid kids by 2012. Or – gasp – buy retail!!!
Any thoughts or suggestions?
