discount tickets to From White Plains (effects of bullying)

fwp-010914Dennis Sullivan’s film about a gay teen’s suicide following unrelenting bullying has just won an Oscar. As Sullivan receives the award, launching into his acceptance speech, he dedicates it to his late friend who inspired the film. He also name-drops the bully — Ethan Rice — who he believes drove his friend to suicide. Watching the broadcast, Rice is shocked to hear his name used in connection with the death of a former classmate he can barely remember. As an anti-bullying campaign with Rice as its new target quickly escalates out of control, both his and Sullivan’s lives are changed in radical ways. Timely, touching and empathetic, the 2013 GLAAD Media Award-winning From White Plains is a highly relevant drama.  Get comp tickets through Goldstar for five performances in February of From White Plains – other tickets run from $6.25 to $12.50 plus service fees.
