Had to stop at two CVS stores because one was out of a great deal – what a surprise, right? So this is a total of two store visits, combined ’cause it’s easier. Picked up the Schick Hydro 5 razor on sale for $8.97. On it was a coupon for a free Hydro shaving gel. Also had a few of the scanning kiosk $1 store coupons for stationery. So the razor was $8.97, used a $5 mfr coupon, the free gel coupon and a $1 off the gel. I also got 32 colored folders for the school year. Total OOP was $7.96 and I got back two $4 ECBs. You still with me? At the second CVS we got two of the Dulcolax bottles on sale for $9.99 each. I used a $5 coupon from All You magazine and a $4 from a Sunday insert and the two $4 ECBs I picked up at the earlier store. So I paid $7.96 for the first store (razors, etc.) and a total of $2.32 for the bottles of Dulcolax. However, the Dulcolax bottles each had a hang tag on them for a $5 rebate. So, to recap: The folders were free, the Dolcolax bottles were $2.32 and I’ll get back $10. The Schick razor has a rebate program running where you get back $7.99, but I’ve already gotten my rebates. I’m OK with it.
Note: The rebate hangtag says it expired 2/28/10(!), but a call to the company today confirmed that they will honor the $5 rebate through September, 2010.
