Bad pun, OK? As I’ve said before, CVS blows this week. I found another couple of Emerald $1 coupons, so stopped on the way home from Ultra and picked up two more of the honey roasted peanuts for tax WHICH IS 17 CENTS! When did peanuts become a candy item? We’re all about saving money, money, money….
I had very good luck with the Oral B deal this week. You get $5 ECB when you spend $10 on Oral B (limit 2). I bought 4 Crossaction toothbrushes for $5.49 each (seriously, for a toothbrush???) I used 2 BOGO coupons from the 8/15 RP and 2 $.75 from the 8/1 PG. That’s $9.48 OOP with $10 back! I added in a few free wheat thin boxes (coupon on Facebook) and some MMs that are still $.25 each with a coupon out of the wonderful coupon machine. That got me above $25 and my CVS (at Rt 59/N. Aurora Rd, Naperville) takes expired CVS coupons ($5 off of $25), so I made about $3.50 after ECB. I think this is an awesome week at CVS! I also made sure to get a raincheck for the free Phillips headsets as they were out and that sale ends Tuesday.
OK, you’ve convinced me! I admit that I get jaded after a while, but your post reminds me that not everyone has like a quadzillion toothbrushes and boxes of crackers in the beverage basement. Thanks for the post and reminder; you worked out the deal beautifully. I totally forgot about the headphones deal when I ran in to get the Emerald peanuts. old broad must start making l i s t s.
P.S. the stupid coupon machine offered me a beauty charm when I spend $$$. Normally I’d just be miffed, but it was my husband’s card, so now I’m also suspicious…
