CVS – Finish is in – update on coupons

Looks like people are willing to toss in their Finish coupons, so I can do no less:  I’m turning over my 36 coupons to Emily today.  I’ll just have the moosies lick the plates clean.  Since my family doesn’t read this blog, I think I can get away with it…

Okay, here’s the FInish scoop:  The first seven people on the list will get their quantities – the rest will get rain checks with notations for $10 in ecbs.  And yes, they did get a ton of product in…but you guys ordered a ton and a half (remember I said it was up to 600 by mid-afternoon Sunday)!  So Candice, Ellen, Steve, Beth, Nicole, Joey and Heather, please call Emily first thing tomorrow and arrange for pick up.  The rest of you should plan to stop in within the next couple of days to get your rain checks.  I’m not taking my Finish now, but will wait with a rain check for the next couple of weeks.  ’cause nobody needs to be this clean…

  1. Boo. Even though I was #4 on the list, only the 1st 3 people apparently got coupons. What’s with all of you ordering 45 boxes each and taking up all the coupons! I only ordered 18 because I didn’t want to be greedy about the coupons. Spread the love a little people!

    • You can always ask for a rain check with the $10 ecbs for every nine you buy. That would give you enough time to order coupons, which would still be a dirt-cheap alternative. And yes, it sucks that so many people took so many, but that’s the way the free market works (don’t forget that I am getting rain checks, too).

  2. I am really sorry, I thought it would be ok to take 45. I wasn’t trying to be greedy, I would have ordered and paid for the coupons, I honestly didn’t think I would be the first person to call in. Coupon dede has them with no limits and it would be about $11.00. This was my first attempt at “extreme couponing”, now I feel bad.

    • Honestly, I am always surprised by the number of people who contact the stores with special orders. You think by now I’d be used to it, but no. If you want to release a few of your coupons and Finish and take rain checks, then that would be fine, too, but either way I would never judge. You were the very first person to call with your order so you get first crack at the coupons and Finish. That’s the way we set it up and I would never think less of you for following our rules. And I can afford to take rain checks because I still have a supply from the last deal. Otherwise…not so generous!

      • Basically we think you are a monster and don’t want you here anymore :/ 🙁

        🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. I just tried to call my husband, but he finished checking out. Next time, I won’t take the limit. I have a few coupons from my papers, I think I have 4 if anyone wants them.

Thank you again for even doing this for us. 🙂

  4. If your still in need of q call me tomorrow (Friday) after 6 at the store!!! I’ve got very generous people donating who don’t need them and I will divide them up among people who need them

  5. You kinda needed to do the math here, folks. If you can get 45 per card, one would assume each person would get 45. (how often are we seeing this kind of deal lately?) Chris VERY GENEROUSLY donated pretty much enough coupons for three people to get the max amount per card.
People aren’t stealing these things. They have been offered and they are still having to pay with their money to get these items and go thru the effort to get there.
I have to drive an hour to do this deal, but I expect nothing.
Be grateful that Chris and Emily are going out of their way to 1) to coordinate and make it happen and 2) make it pretty darn seamless.

Dede is awesome about getting your coupons to you quickly. I ordered my 35. Paid $0.95 shipping and will probably have them today.

Even paying a little over $10 for coupons is an amazing deal. I would have needed to purchase 45 papers to get all the coupons I need for this one. That is $45 at menards and $90 anywhere else.

  6. I bought 41 from coupon dede, not thinking I would be first and I have 4 at home. I have not gotten the order from dede yet, but I can take those 45 when I get them to CVS and leave them for Emily.

Thanks again Chris and Emily. 🙂

  7. I totally think that Chris and Emily have gone above and beyond to make everyone happy – I would never say any different! It’s through their efforts that I am able to save the money I do for my family, so thanks to both of you!

  8. i shouldve thought of signing myself up for less than the 45, but ill be honest i really didnt do the math or even think about it. i just saw that 45 was our limit per card and when i called that is what i said i wanted.

really, not a biggie, im happy to share what the goddess has shared with all of us. so, im going to take 25 of the coups and leave 20 with emily to do what she sees fit with.

i appreciate the generosity the goddess shows, and i also appreciate emily’s patience with these deals.
ps…i made the mistake of calling someone’s actions greedy once. it was a lesson well-learned on my part. the more you coupon, the more you will see other peeps doing things that you know 1)you wouldnt do, or 2)wish they wouldnt do because you know it is going to raise flags. The truth is only #1 is something you have some control over. Capiche? just my 2cents

  9. yeah, all you peeps are damn lucky to have Chris and Emily…up here in buttfuck no one gives a shit if you EVEN get 2 boxes of dish tabs so thank your lucky stars that they do this stuff at all! Wish I lived closer I would get in on it too! Tried to twist my dear brother’s arm but he is not comfortable trying to coupon for me since he’s a dumb guy! buhahahaha!
