Apparently there has been a recall issued for Excedrin, so CVS will not be able to sell it (Emily says the register won’t even process the transaction should you find one). Ask about a rain check, since you are not using a coupon and it’s only free, not a money maker.

that’s weird….I was able to buy it at the Joliet CVS no problem today, and even got the ECB.
I just spoke with Emily and she said that an alert came through to pull all the Excedrin from the shelf, whether it was part of the recall or not, until further notice (apparently CVS audits their stores for compliance). So, even though the ones she had were not part of a recall, it doesn’t matter.
My guess? Joliet CVS is lazy and/or doesn’t bother reading the alerts (I think alerts show up on the register, which would make them really lazy, right?) OR the alert came through after you bought the Excedrin.

Forgot about this and picked up some tonight at the Hyde Park cvs…if there’s a recall, I guess this will be a moneymaker…
Yeah, that’s the part I don’t understand. Emily was adamant that the recall notice told them to pull all the Excedrin from the shelves, but yet so many of you are finding them and buying them with no issues. If it were a MM as it were, I’d be all over it.
