First the good news (and the not-so-good news): Enough Norelco razors came in that we will all get some, but not our entire order at this time. Those who won ten coupons in the giveaway will get three razors now with a rain check for the other seven. ouch, i know. They ran the numbers given what they have and this is the best they can do right now. The warehouse is pretty much cleared out, but Emily will keep ordering every week until all rain checks are filled. Those of you who placed special orders in addition to the giveaway razors will be entitled to another three from that special order, with a rain check for the remainder. Seriously, have you any idea of the number of these high-value razors that came in? Hundreds…but they had orders for well over 500…
The Bayer Advance MM will be limited to two per person for the first couple of days – they’ll see how many are left on Saturday and then the floodgates can open.
Excedrin – Emily says that the recall stated all Excedrin, but since the 8 ct isn’t a normally-stocked item, they’re going to assume it isn’t part of the recall and have put it out for sale. Sorry for the confusion, but I, for one, would rather be safe than sorry. Of course if it were a money maker, all bets would be off.
Those of you who made appointments should probably call Emily on Wednesday after 4:30 to confirm.
Again, we all wanted more!, more!, more! but we’re just starting out with CVS and they’re trying to work with us. This is just one store trying to accommodate a heck of a lot of special orders (I know the store manager is wigging out at all the stuff being delivered … wondering if he is gonna get stuck with it). I’m in the same boat as you, not thrilled, but realistic enough to see that this store really wants to work with us (but boy they’ve never before seen extreme couponers).
Ugh. That blows. Plans went down the tubes with that little tidbit. Time to recalculate.
I was wondering where exactly they were putting all this stuff since Emily was talking like it was there already. I imagine anyone with a large car has it filled. Lol
No, Emily wasn’t kidding about the stuff coming in and it’s been coming in for the past couple of weeks, making the manager very nervous. The Bayer Advanced is not a regular item, so no matter how many they ordered, they couldn’t get as many as they wanted. And the warehouse was starting to get a little weird about one store ordering hundreds of these expensive electric razors…and wiping them out each week.
I’ll be getting much less since the razors aren’t there. I was really counting on them. Bummer. But thanks emily for trying and working so hard for us. I can’t imagine getting everything straight.
Yes, I am a little bummed out too but only because I am still new to this and I really stress over going into the store and fumbling or messing up and having the people behind me want to kill me. I’ll spend a little time recalculating tonight and try to be ready on Thursday. A huge THANK YOU to Emily I’m sure it was crazy trying to keep everything straight.
Thanks for accepting this gracefully. Emily would have liked semis delivered 24/7, but couldn’t get it all in. Some people are not as understanding…and i’ll say no more.
Heidi, I’ve been doing the coupon thing about a year and a half and I screw up ALL THE TIME. I have three kids (2 little ones) and getting all my crap together and having things in stock and rembering what I am doing as I do it with kids in tow…yeah…usually a huge screw up.
Whoever is behind you that wants to kill you, I can guarantee has done something way worse than hold up a line. Don’t worry about it. Shit happens. Just smile, apologize and be on your way. If that’s the worst thing that happens that day, sounds like a good day to me. It’s part of the process.

Which razor is the big deal? which coupon? (don’t worry-I don’t live by you! I’m not out to take your booty!)
It’s the Norelco Phillips 7300 electric razor. CVS will have it for $26.99 for Thurs-Sat sale and there are two $30 coupons, one in 8/14 S and 11/20 S. The coupon says Senseo, but screen shots in earlier posts show the 7300 as a Senseo. Thank god we have those screen shots! We’re talking about free razors and a slight MM (ymmv of course).
