Colgate mouthwash price match at Walmart

20130912_113716Obviously this is not my photo, but from one of you dear readers who took my price-matching at Walmart advice and picked up 120 bottles at one store!  Frankly, I’m amazed that they that many of the smaller size!  Email said that the first manager said we can’t… but asked the second, who said we can’t…but asked the third, who said we can’t…until the one manager said yes!  They did limit it to four like coupons per transaction and only the two “flavors” shown in the Ultra ad – then ran many, many transactions.  Email said that the overage paid for most of the high tax.

  1. I don’t get why 3 managers would have said no this, especially if this person was buying them in multiples of 4 to adhere to the coupon restriction but which also met the B4G $1.88 price sale Ultra is running. I don’t see how any WM managers could say anything about this is not allowed. They pay out the overage and don’t limit the number of coupons you use nor price matching…

    • And I agree with you 100% – but every once in a while you get a manager who decides that you shouldn’t be able to buy more than the four coupon amount or something or make you go outside and start over or come back another day…it’s like trying to price match at a Target…do you really wanna go there?

      • I tried to price match at Target one time and they told me they “don’t consider Meijer a competitor” – lol, ok whatever..

  2. There are so many reasons to dislike Target—they never get coupons right plus not opening until 8 am. The
last time I was in Target about a year ago, a checker
came over to where I was checking out and started
a tirade about how I was stealing from Target because of overage on coupons. The manager got my feedback
and so did corporate—I was livid and that is an under
    statement.

    • I live in the city without a car and there is a Target less than a mile from me that carries a lot of fresh produce but it’s not a full service Supercenter. So I do have to shop there a lot.. but I cashier profile. I have found one cashier who is a couponer herself who makes my checkouts a breeze. Even if other registers have no line, I will wait in hers because I know I won’t have problems. But I know what you mean.. Target is very annoying otherwise.
