For whatever strange reasons, Walgreens is clearing out their inventory of these Hanes 3pks for $4.79.  Check online to see if any convenient stores have your size in stock.  I got these at two stores, neither of which are my go-tos, so I didn’t have any pull, but lately that’s not saying much.

The first store range up at $13+ (shelf is over $18!), but overrode to match the online clearance price with no trouble; the second store – which rang up at $9+ – tried to tell me the price was only online.  Pointed out that it wasn’t available to purchase online, but only for pickup and showed this was the location.  Also pointed out that they didn’t have sufficient stock to buy $10 worth of shirts. Manager was in a meeting and cashiers were in a tizzy, so I offered to buy several packs in the wrong size to get up to the $10 threshold, then immediately return them after purchase.  They adjusted the price to $4.79.

Walgreens has a BOGO sale this week on Blue Diamond almonds plus a 50¢ coupon, but if you’re adventurous, you can grab the Extreme or Bold varieties on clearance for $4.49 for two.  Nice savings over their usual insane price.  In order of Scoville units: Sriracha, Cayenne, Ghost Pepper and burn off your tastebuds Carolina Reaper.

Although given my usual experiences at Walgreens, maybe I’m the one who is nuts for shopping here.  Last time none of the UPCs or digital coupons scanned and shift mgr “explained” to me that some digital manufacturer coupons were only valid online (although she couldn’t point to any specific wording).  Same store that couldn’t tell the difference between Cash Rewards and Register Receipts.  But when you’re stuck with a store due to inventory issues.

Although Blue Diamond 16 oz almonds are on sale for $5.99 with a $1 digital coupon, the Nice brand for $4.99 lets you use one of the promo codes (WAG10 & FAST10) which makes it that much cheaper, so if you’re not tied to the name brand …

Also tossed in two Cheez-Its on a BOGO this week because FirstBorn and Squirmy are fans.  Yes, although FirstBorn buys his own junk food groceries and always grabs a few boxes, sometimes I like to surprise him.  Jewel often is out of the large box of original crackers (once he was stuck buying reduced fat; Squirmy took a nibble and dropped the cracker on the floor). Of course, the response will likely be “why would you buy more Cheez-Its?  I already have a box.” rather than thanks.  Squirmy, of course, sees nothing wrong with stockpiling 🙂

I was literally passing by Walgreens anyway, so why not stop in for some Old Spice body wash?  These are travel sizes but the $5/2 digital coupon works fine so why not get some for 58¢ plus tax?  Haven’t really had deals on Old Spice lately – at least not what I’d consider a deal.
