The Restaurant.com 80% deal is back! But so late in the month that you might be disappointed in the available selections, which is why I always say to at least check out the stuff when they’re running the 60- and 70% promotions.

You know the drill. Not the best price you’ll find for Restaurant.com, but I would definitely click the banner or link and check out any new restaurants and/or offerings. You’re not being forced to buy anything, you know.
Restaurant.com PSA
PSA to remind you to check what’s available in case Restaurant.com has added a new or favorite restaurant to the offerings; restaurants periodically add vouchers, depending on business. Don’t buy them at this price point, unless they’re rarely or never available at the better rates .
PSA on Restaurant.com
You all know how much I love this program, but every once in a while I hear a complaint or someone has encountered a problem. A reader visited two restaurants almost in a row and at each one they declined the voucher, stating that they had left the program in July. In this case, the reader had printed out the vouchers when she purchased them (months earlier) and then never checked her account. Had she done so, she would have found that the certificates had automatically been placed back into her account in blank form. So heads up: Do not print out vouchers if you are not going to be using them in a timely fashion. Restaurants come and go, both in business and in the Restaurant.com program. Sometimes a restaurant will take a short break to determine how effective the vouchers have been, and will return. Hard to tell, but please make a point of checking your account periodically.

It’s back! With the exception of the 90% deal that only appears, maybe, once or twice per year, this is the best deal on vouchers you will see Restaurant.com offer. I would strongly urge you to check the available restaurants because it’s so early in the month, there should be lots more available.

You know the drill by now: Certificates never expire; they automatically revert to blank certificates in your account if a restaurant closes or leaves the program; you can buy these for cities nationwide, so perfect for vacations; if you wish to change a voucher, call customer service and they’ll do it quickly for free. I’ve used them for years as have many of my friends. Whew! Now just do it!

Forgot to post this yesterday – sorry!
This is the 50% off deal (where the $10 for $25 certificate drops to $5 after the promo code FORK), which I only post because sometimes a restaurant releases such a limited number of vouchers that they are all gone by the time the 70% and 80% deals come along. If that’s the case, you take what you can…
You know the Restaurant.com drill: These certificates never expire; if a restaurant closes or otherwise leaves the program, your certificate is returned in blank form to your account; if you wish to change a certificate from one restaurant to another, just call customer service for an easy-peasy, no-charge switch.

posting the big banner just ’cause I like the colors.
You know the Restaurant.com drill by now: certificates never expire; if your choice closes or leaves the program your vouchers is automatically converted into a blank gift certificate so you can choose another restaurant at your convenience; you can pick restaurants anywhere in the country, so great when you travel.
Anything else? Oh, yeah, I’ve been using them for years and never once had a problem.

See the purdy banner? We’re now back to 70% deals through the 24th, although that does not guarantee that your chosen restaurant(s) will still be available by then. And while I don’t think the 60% deals are anything to post about, the 70% and 80% ones are decent. Although it may sound high, the actual difference between them is only a buck on a $10 voucher.
Remember: Restaurant vouchers never expire; if a restaurant closes or otherwise leaves the program, your voucher is automatically converted into a blank certificate in your account; if you want to change your selection on a previously-purchased voucher, call customer service and they will handle the switch for free. Some restaurants have date or liquor restrictions, so read the fine print before purchasing. So what’s the down side? None that I’ve ever seen and yes, I do use these and have for years.

The 60% deal is back, so if you were unable to snag the restaurant you wanted during the 80% promotion, check again, since there’s always more available when the discounts are smaller.
Standard speech inserted here: Restaurant.com vouchers never expire; if a restaurant leaves the program or closes, your voucher is automatically converted into a gift certificate and placed in your account; if you change your mind about a restaurant you’ve chosen, you can call customer service and have another one replace it for no charge. If you’re traveling, pick some restaurants in the city and along the way – you’ll get some peace of mind, knowing that meals have been taken care of.
