I try to use the Monopoly freebie tickets when I remember, but if I don’t have my purse with me… So now I had a situation where there were so many coupons in the binder clip that I had to redeem all the freebies at one time.  You see here freebies plus a $1.99 rain check rice pudding, Half & Half (warehouse will be shutting down for a few days for the Safeway computer conversion and I do NOT want to be without my coffee mixer!), a Horizon chocolate milk on sale for $3.99 with a $1 sticker on it (and apparently I had added a 55¢ coupon to MyMixx card) and the 29¢/lb sale bananas.  Subtotal was $11.42.

Since I already have a big box for the Food Pantry on Monday, figured I’d run in to Jewel for the crummy ice cream word of the day and bring that with.  Found all this clearance in one aisle!  The Barilla pasta is from their expensive Collezione line – on clearance for $1.28 and with a 75¢ coupon in 3/4 rp.  The pickled veggies were extremely cheap.  How cheap you ask?  They were all marked $2.98 on the shelf, but the asparagus rang at only a buck…so I went back and took them all.  The regular price spicy asparagus was $14.99!  Ended up with green beans, asparagus and carrots.  I like shopping rich!

As I posted last week, tomorrow Jewel will be having another one of their Word of the Day deals:  Say “SOLA” at the register and get your free pint of Chocolate & Peanut Butter!  This offer is valid 4/13 only.

Went in for my MyMixx freebies and found a whole bunch of Hormel Alway Tender roasts on $3.29 clearance.  I’ll post-redeem with a $2 coupon that came in today’s mail and two printables (limit 2 print).
