Thanks to Jane for pushing me out the door on this deal 🙂 Both Planters and Green Giant have tear pad coupons, which brings sale prices down … considerably! My Jewel had zero Planters coupons (indeed, I couldn’t see even a trace on the cardboard display), but Green Giant had a nice, fat tear pad fully loaded stuck to the freezer door. Coupons work on all veggies, not just the ones listed, because otherwise, we’d all be out of luck, given the low inventory on the riced line. $1 coupons on $1 sale items mean you pay low food tax. Wow, and to think this sort of deal used to be common.
It was in the ad, but I was kinda hoping for more since not all stores offer DriveUp & Go (Lisle does not) and frankly, a 6pk of donation Bubbl’r does not float my boat. Make sure to scan Fetch Rewards; might as well earn at least 25 points from your overpriced shopping trip. Look at all the deals that are now being only offered online … limit 1.
Figured we’d hit up Jewel for the Saturday freebies … on the off-chance they had a clearance cart out – which they did!!! Pita grabbed her beloved Zevia soda at 75%. Needed half and half, but there was no way I was paying $7.49 a half gallon, although I’d get a discount by buying THREE. Even I am not that nuts, so we headed over to Amazon Fresh, where it was $5.49 🙂 They had more of the Chobani creamer on 98¢ clearance, so threw six into the cart. May dates mean Pita will be through them long before, since she’s already used one of the nine bought last Sunday. Also had short-dated (March 3) Silk organic for only $1.49, so that went into the cart as well; Pita has been eating cereal a few times a week lately.
