Chips Ahoy & Zyrtec @ Jewel

Jewel/Osco has 25 ct liquid gels and 30 ct tablet Zyrtec on B2G1 sale at $19.99 each. There is a $7 coupon in the 4/7 rp2 plus a $5 store coupon in the Allergy booklet we’ve been using for All. By the way, the computer glitch has been fixed and when you buy two All and use the store coupon, $1.50 comes off from each bottle, so no need for cashier intervention.

But I digress – – Buy three Zyrtec and pay $39.98 less the three $7 mfr coupons. At this point you are at $18.98 and here is where you should STOP!  The $5 store coupon attaches to the FREE pack, bringing the cost down to $14.99, but since it’s FREE, who the hell cares what the cost is? My advice is to run the deal without the $5 coupon and then return to customer service with the receipt and store coupon and get your money back the old-fashioned way!  Ashley posted (under deals) that you will receive a $3 store cat, but, unfortunately, it’s a mfr cat.  I ran this two times and you see the result.  Can’t really see swapping out a $7 for a lowly $3…  You are only paying $5 for a $20 item, so still a fantastic deal – THANKS, ASHLEY!

If you plan on ordering at Lisle, make sure that order is placed before 1 pm Sunday. This coupon has a 7-day expiration, so don’t put it off.

And I ran another 120 Chips Ahoy transactions today – went very, very quickly.  Creepy how we’re all turning into machines with this one (cashier keeps card and 1 cup and we place a pile of change in front, then let him/her have at it).

Yes, Chips Ahoy is still working!

There was a mix-up at Jewel and they ended up with twelve extra cases – – like I need to deliver more to the pantry!  So I said, sure I’ll take ’em if the cat is still working – and it was – and I did.  What’s nice is that you can add items to your four cups (I’ve been picking up lots of great deals off the clearance rack) to hit the $10 threshold to use the EE catalinas.  Today we got bananas and frozen vegetables.  And remember, you can always return with receipts and coupons to get your money back.

I’m trying to find match-ups to the store coupons in the Allergy booklet at Jewel – this Band-aid printable is one to print whether you use it at Jewel or not.  It’s on sale at Walgreens next week and with rewards it could be considered free (although I’d rather just have the cash in my pocket)
$1.00 off 2 BAND-AID Brand Adhesive Bandages

Jewel is All that!

This photo is of two identical transactions, each costing $2.57 – that high tax is a bitch! Mitigating circumstances brought down my total – – – whoever used the self-scan before me left behind almost a buck in change.  I’ll be buying more of the EE gloves, but I prefer, for only 40¢ more, the heavier purple premium ones.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have any in stock in my size.

Jewel shopping like it’s 2009

There’s a fantastic coupon booklet at the Osco pharmacy counters:  Allergy Relief SAVINGS. These are all store coupons, which means we’re looking at some very, very good deals through May 31, when they expire.  Here’s the bestest and shiniest of the deals I see currently:  All Free & Clear laundry detergent is on sale for $2.99 (all types). Buy two ($5.98), use the $2/2 mfr coupon from 3/10 rp with the $1.50/1 from the booklet. Coupon says limit two products. $5.98 – $2 – $3 = 98¢ for both.  Since the store coupon reduces the price to $2.98, you’ll be paying that much less high tax!  We haven’t seen All this cheap since probably 2009 (she crosses her heart and genuflects).  Note that while the coupon reads Limit two items per coupon, it’s only taking off $2.50, so depending on how coupon-friendly your store is, you may or may not get into a pissing match.

Another sweet coupon is the $2.50/2 EE household cleaning products coupon directly in front of the ALL page.  Lots of possibilities here like dish soap, 1/2 gallons of bleach, sponges, towels…your choice.

First coupon in the booklet is for a $10 Jewel gift card with any new or transferred prescription, for those of you sickies.

Chips Ahoy still printing

Was at Jewel using up my 3/31 freebie coupons, when, just on a whim, I tried the Chips Ahoy cups – – got my $4 catalina.  If you’re anywhere near a Jewel, you should be able to run this at least a couple of times, since I believe most Jewels have restocked at least some quantity.

Chips Ahoy still working & cheap ham ideas

These little Amish Pride spiral hams run about $10-$11 each.  Since there are no restrictions on the $10 Jewel ham coupon, use these for free ham!  Check your freebie coupons because many of them have 3/31 expiration dates and they’re a great way to boost your total without boosting your total.

And yes, the Chips Ahoy catalina is still printing – every once in a while there is a hiccup and either a $2 prints or nothing prints.  Don’t have a heart attack, it’s just one of those things.  Take the entire transaction back to customer service when you’re finished with everything and get your money back.  easy-peasy.

Chips Ahoy still running & new lower prices @ Jewel

For those of you who have yet to run this deal (or just want more free cookies), the catalina promo is still running.  If you shop the Lisle Jewel, I have placed three containers of Chips Ahoy and a handful of the FREE frosting flavors if you are looking for a way to bump up your total to the $10 threshold to use those $10 store cats that have been spitting out like crazy.

While I there today, I spoke with the store director about the “supposed” lower prices on everyday things as one of the first orders from the new buyer (as reported in the papers).  Frankly, I thought it was all the same smoke and mirrors that Super-valu was prone to pulling.  You know – lower for a month or two until the customers come back and then the utz.  Well, there have a ton of price drops, many quite significant (unless you don’t consider 50-$1.49 significant).  Eggs, milks, russet potatoes, bananas (49¢!) and more.  Look for those lower prices signs – I’ve seen them, but didn’t pay attention (since I was getting the stuff for free anyway!).  From what I’ve heard, it will take a few months before all the ties to Super-value are broken and new ads and commercials appear, but for now I’m pleasantly surprised.

Now, if the stores could only get increased payroll budgets so we could all have our own register for those extreme deals…

Chips Ahoy is still working & advice for the shopworn…

I hope you’ve been able to run this deal.  I’ve been using the $4 from the Chips Ahoy as a base for hitting the $10 threshold to use the store cats that have been spitting out like mad:  Free EE cereal, apples, bananas, frozen vegetables, Greek yogurt, canned vegetables, French or Italian bakery bread…have I covered it all?  Today I bumped up the $4 to $10 by using those FREE frosting flavor packets from 3/17 S.  We’re not actually frosting people, so that will be donated with the Chips Ahoy.

Be creative with your purchases – check out the clearance sections in Jewel and Osco and use the Find A Coupon tab to see what you can possibly then get for free (remember, you can return within 60 days to Jewel with your receipt and coupons and get your money back, even if the coupon has expired in the meantime).

update – Chips Ahoy is available & working (trust me) hehehehe

Ran a total of 40 transactions – gonna be lots of happy people when the order comes in!  This really moves quickly at self-scan, as long as you have a bunch of change on top, ready to pay.

Been running the Chips Ahoy at Jewel for some time – if your store allows/insists on paying upfront, bring in your four (since I don’t believe there are any more on the shelves) and run them, pay your food tax and make sure your tell customer service how many you’ve pre-ordered.

That is all…
