The Bumble Bee wild caught crab was only 50¢ a can! Must have been hidden behind the shrimp – I found the suckers anyway!
On the way home saw a garage sale sign and had to stop. $14 in hand – enough to buy the almost-new Club Dutch oven, two strainers, two French presses (one an almost-new Bodum) and silver plate spoons. my weakness…well, one of them
Stopped in to run a few Febreze transactions and ran smack into a refilled clearance cart! More high-end stuff priced for poor people: EVOO Monini was reduced to $5 from $19.99, the crabmeat and oysters were 50 and 75¢, lots of cans of tiny and medium shrimp for 75¢ and a buck. Many, many cans and pouches of salmon. A few bottles of the fancy Wish Bone salad dressing and, since we liked the ones from Target, I took a roasted red pepper to try for 50¢. I have more cans, but you get the idea.
While I was sorting, another woman was tossing things into her cart; apparently she hits up all the local Jewels on a daily basis to check clearance! that crazy i am not (and she wasn’t getting the good stuff imho).
