Get discount tickets starting at $12.50 through Goldstar to France’s Ballet Preljocaj in Snow White.   The gorgeous look and feel of Ballet Preljocaj’s Snow White will transport you to a time and place usually found only in fairy tales. With dazzling costumes by renowned fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, a romantic score by Gustav Mahler, and 26 amazing dancers showcasing contemporary choreography, this romantic ballet brings the Grimm Brothers’ classic story to life before your eyes. The famous fairy tale has as much meaning to adults as it does to children, which is why company founder Angelin Preljocaj decided to tap into the story’s intense drama to create this spellbinding performance. Performed as a staged reading by ShawChicago Theater Company, Man and Superman is more than 100 years old, but it remains an entertaining, thought-provoking piece. Shaw wrote the play almost on a dare, after being told by friends and critics that he would never be a great playwright until he tackled this popular story. So he did, and the resulting work became a masterpiece.

Based on journalist Mitch Albom’s real-life friendship with his favorite college professor, Tuesdays With Morrie chronicles the lessons Albom learns during visits while his mentor and friend is dying from Lou Gehrig’s disease, or ALS. The two delve into the themes of life, love, wealth, aging, dependence, peace and death. It’s through these weekly visits that Albom realizes just how much he still has to learn about values and priorities.
