Target for free school supplies

photo.JPG

Not one penny exchanged hands – and the cashier said I was a smart shopper (considering the couple ahead of me spend $132 on nonsense…). Remember, there’s lots of stuff in the school supply section that everyone can use, like the shipping tape.

Here’s the original post with Target coupon links.  You can be a smart shopper, too!

free school supplies @ Target!

Well, you can get school suppy freebies all over, but office supply chains do the rebate, and I’d rather not pay anything upfront!  Right now, Target has store coupons (means no tax on freebies!) for $1 off two Mead products and $1.50 off up & up school supply items.  Mead 4-pk folders are 50¢ each this week and the up & up notebook filler paper is $1.50!  Get 8 folders and a pack of lined paper for free with one coupon of each – print two each per computer!  Even if you don’t need any of this stuff, you might as well donate, since there’s no tax involved.

I joined the Wholly Guac club some time back and periodically they offer “stuff” – good stuff. The right Quarter Pounder freebie coupon was the ZERO points prize on My Coke Rewards the end of June. Join if you drink any of the Coke family products (I didn’t know Powerade earned points!).

Oh Thank Heaven – free (and bigger!) – Slurpees tomorrow

10-07-06_711day

7-Eleven, Inc. has choreographed a super-cool celebration to mark its 86th birthday Thursday, July 11 (that’s 7/11, btw), better known by fans of its popular frozen drink as Free Slurpee® Day. Big things are in store and online for the festivities:

  • Free small Slurpee drinks — That’s a full 12 ounces, almost double the previous years’ 7.11-ounce size. Offered from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time on Thursday, July 11, at participating 7-Eleven® stores in the U.S. and Canada

who says festivals are expensive?

Lisle has the Eyes to the Sky Festival every year over the 4th of July holiday. It combines a carnival, arts/crafts stands and food court with concerts and hot air balloon launches twice a day. It’s $5 to get in to the festival (carnival is free), but Lisle residents get in free on the 4th between noon and 3 pm. So go in, get your hand stamped and go back for the fireworks later on.

Moo and Oink not only fed us David’s kosher franks and hamburgers seasoned with onions and BBQ sauce, they gave us lots and lots of nice coupons.  Thanks, critters.

Why yes, we will take more of those tasty hot dogs.  But you only have the yellow mustard!  Oh, well, we’ll cope…somehow

Not only was the Müller’s yogurt stand handing out cartons of yogurt (strawberry or mixied berries) and $1 coupons, they were handing out FULL CASES!  They weren’t putting on limits, then one guy started selling those cases for $2.  That’s just ignorant.   but a great deal for the Buyers…

PITA and I had our hair French-braided – her’s was also sprayed pink.  not a good look for me.
