CVS/Lumene possible MM

CVS has a November deal on Lumeme skin care products:  Buy $30 and get $10 in ecbs. Limit one per card.  Lumene released a $4 pdf when you “Like” them on Facebook.  Coupon states it is not valid on the 0.5 fl oz trial sizes so don’t push it!  Not worth burning a bridge for an ecb…  Also, the Magic Coupon Machine is printing out 20% off coupons, but it excludes promotional, sale or clearance items – the products I took are considered sale items and the coupon didn’t work.

Put them all together and you can get either free products or money makers (if you have any of those $$ off email coupons).  Buying five of the $6.29 eye makeup removers will put you at $31.45, less the $20 in coupons and the $10 in ecbs.

Since the cheaper products will probably not be in stock, I chose another way…The Time Freeze products shown have a $24.79 shelf price, but scan at next week’s sale price of $14.99.  Buy two less the $8 in coupons and you’ll spend $24.15 with a $10 return.  These are selling for full price everywhere else (including Amazon).

Thanks to MUM, whose email started this all...

CVS – ymmv shopping

Right off the bat, I want to state that I haven’t run these deals because I haven’t found any stock, but I know someone who has run the Aveeno one.

Aveeno products are Buy 4 get $15 in ecbs with the pictured items being pretty pricey, even with the $3/2 coupon in the 10/28 S.  Buttttttt, the lotion tube that sells for approximately $3.69 (you’re looking for the low-rent stores here) is also triggering the $15!  So buy four of the $3.69 small tubes, use two $3 coupons and pay out $8.76 plus high tax and get back $15.  This is a limit one per card deal.

If you can find any of the cheap Revlon implements (like files, clippers, etc.) then when you buy two, you’ll get $7 in ecbs.  No coupons available and it really depends on how cheap the items is; I was unable to find anything under $3.99.  Find a pair of $2.25 clippers and you’ve made a little money.  It’s best to run this if you’re trying to roll or burn some ecbs, ’cause otherwise the tax’ll bit you in the butt.

And on the PSA front, keep checking for clearance items, which may be in carts, in strange locations or end caps or even right in the front.  Couple of weeks ago I saw an entire end cap of Finish dish detergent for $1 a box – over 100 boxes.  No coupons then, but still, a very good price.  Today someone picked up an entire cart of Xtra laundry detergent for a buck each!  in case you’re wondering, there were 31 bottles in that cart.  And these stores are nowhere near each other (quite a few suburbs apart, in fact), so keep checking.

CVS for really, really, really cheap AXE

Here’s a sweet little unadvertised deal at CVS: The AXE shampoos and conditioners are 2/$9 this week and get $3 ecbs per card, but here’s the kicker! The styling gels are ringing up as part of this deal. Here’s what I did (a few times): Buy one styling gel and one shampoo and pay $9. Use the FREE AXE shampoo when you buy a styling gel (coupon automatically scans in at $6) found in the 9/30 rp.  Final price, including high tax, was $3.65 for each set of two (take that $3 off and you’re at 65¢!)

(almost)free pizza at CVS – B2G1 available – BUMP

Thanks to Ellen, who says she found that valuable B2G1 coupon under the 50265 zipcode. Hurry cause it will disappear within hours – guaranteed!

Trolling through CVS ads lately has been a hard and thankless task, frankly, but the week of October 14th just improved, pizza-wise.  They will have DiGiorno 12″ pizzas on BOGO andthere is a B2G1 coupon on Coupons.com under 63122 zip.  To change zip codes click the “Local Coupons” tab and then enter 63122.  Once the page resets, click on the “Coupons” tab and it should be the first coupon.  There are also $2/2 coupons hiding under zip code 53213, so print and use them, too!  Print IPs from as many computers as you can find to work the deal like this:

Buy six pizzas at roughly $8 each, but only pay for three – about $24.  Use two of the B2G1 IPs to subtract $13.02 (coupon limit is $6.51) and two of the $2/2 IPs and you arrive at $7 for six pizzas or $1.16 each.  This is the cheapest we have seen pizza in quite some time.  Of course, if the pizzas are cheaper, the score is that much better.

credit and much love, honor and respect to MUM (loan me a twenty?)

PSA – CVS quarterly bonus coupon

Don’t forget to scan your card(s) at the Magic Coupon Machine, because starting today, you’ll get your quarterly bonus coupon.  Last quarter I got $50; doubt I’ll get more than a couple of bucks this go-round!  But hey, it’s FREE money, right?

CVS for cheap Robitussin

CVS has Robitussin on sale for $4.99.  It’s part of a group of Buy 2 products get $3 in ecbs  – there’s a $3 coupon in the 9/30 rp, which brings it down to slightly over dirt.

I bought two, paid $3.98 and got back $3 in ecbs, or 49¢ for each bottle.  Next I bought four bottles for $7.96 and paid with the coupons and $3 ecb from the first transaction.  OOP was slightly over $5 and I got back $6 in ecbs.

Note that this deal is limited to FIVE per card (or ten bottles of Robitussin).  I’d call this a stock-up sale because we’re going into the cough and cold season and the expiration dates on these bottles are late 2013 and early 2014.

and yes, obviously you can just buy in sets of two and only put out the 98¢ instead of accumulating ecbs, but if you’re trying to roll some expiring bucks, this is the way to go.

magic coupon machine goodies

So far, every loyalty card has printed out a $3/2 CVS brand body wash products.  Their Escape (or whatever they call them) is normally 2/$4, but now it’s Buy 2 get the second one 1/2 off.  So I bought two, used that $3 coupon and paid 59¢.  I like free better than most people, but 30¢, including tax, works for me.

So scan your card(s) and check!

CVS for cheap razors

’cause Free razor deals have been very few and far between…  Buy two Gillette disposables and two Simply Venus.   Use the $3 coupon in the 8/05 r and the BOGO coupon from the 8/26 P&G.  While the Venus BOGO coupon covers all razors, the sad fact is the cap is $7.99 and the absolute cheapest one on the shelf is $8.39.  For the Gillette razors, use the 8/26 P&G BOGO coupon and the $3 coupon from either the 8/26 P&G or the 8/05 r.

I had a $12 ecb from the Revlon lip deal last week, so I tossed in two caramels (the CVS equivalent of laffy taffy) and paid $2.52, which was ALL HIGH TAX!  Got back two $5 ecbs. Had I not had any ecbs, I would have paid out about $14 and gotten back $10, or about $1.50 for four packs of razors, before tax.
