Cantigny Park Today

Spent the day at Cantigny Park in Warrenville/Wheaton.  It was the home of Robert McCormick, the publisher of the Chicago Tribune for many years.  It’s always a nice visit; a relaxing, picnic, take in a concert type of day.  Apparently, it’s also a big spot for wedding receptions as witnessed by this picture.  Don’t know who these guys are, but I immediately started drooling for ice cream  This was obviously not a wedding, but a quinceanera.  The mother of the girl was wearing a floor-length, orange satin, sequined bodice, slit-to-the-waist, dress.  kill me now

This is the drama queen, who got bored and walked away (and we had to have security comb the park in their little golf carts to find her).

Finally, back at home again where we can relax with our meager creature comforts…
