To celebrate the life of an iconic burlesque performer named Miss Ruby, who has requested that a funeral be thrown for her before she dies, a ragtag group of strippers, hustlers and philosophers — friends — gathers in the parking lot of The Hummingbird. Once a glamorous hotel on the infamous Airline Highway of New Orleans, The Hummingbird is now home to a party that will rage through the night, as old friends of Miss Ruby’s continue showing up to pay their respects. Steppenwolf presents the world premiere of Airline Highway, a lively and touching ode to the outcasts who make our world a more fascinating place.  Looks like a fun show.
