Whole Foods for fractional payments

Picture doesn’t show 12 quarts of Saffron Road broth in various flavors because I dropped them off on the way home. You see here a nice hunk of Dubliner cheddar, an organic pink grapefruit, extra virgin 100% Italian olive oil, three Mighty Oats oatmeal blends (crazy-high $5.99 each!) and a 16 oz jar of coconut oil.  After all coupons, my OOP came to $12.42.  damn my cheese addiction…

    • It was on sale for $3 off, or $12.99 for the jar. Pricey – yes, but I had so much overage from the broth that spending a few bucks for all the other stuff was a good trade-off to my way of thinking. Heck, that stupid grapefruit alone was almost two bucks (must have flown first class up from Florida!)

  1. what mighty oats coupon are you using? I did not see it in the WD. but I could have easily missed that! Olive oil coupon, too, if you don’t mind sharing.

    • Wow! That was a fascinating site! And made me rush into the kitchen to read the label on the Garden of Life jar I bought – I’m good ’cause it’s cold-pressed, no bleaching, deodorizing, anything that’s bad. and the Lauric acid content is very high. But I definitely want to order from this site in the future.

      • I wanted to make my own Lotion Bars (Kida…eczema) and I was lead to their site. I started making my own laundry detergent (since few are the days of any for free) and I am so THRILLED at the result I’ve been looking into making my own other things. This of course has now lead me into the land of organic and the quest for organic on the cheap. The internet is an abyss. (Not just YouTube)
