Jedlicka puts on a very fine show – PITA and I have seen many productions there over the years. It’s super easy to get to: right off Central and I55. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Jedlicka Performing Arts Center’s staging of the musical inspired by Erich Segal’s best-selling novel and one of the most romantic films of all time. When Oliver Barrett IV wanders into a library in search of a book, he instead discovers Jenny Cavilleri. They come from different worlds — he was a Harvard man, she was Radcliffe. He’s rich, she’s poor. But they fall in love. This is their story. It’s a touching celebration of love and life that will win your heart … and maybe break it. The 1970 film starring Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw was nominated for seven Academy Awards and ranked No. 9 on the American Film Institute’s list of Greatest Love Stories.
