Giant box arrived on our porch – Blue Crab Trading Co.! DH bought this with his livingsocial voucher (I’m holding onto mine) and here’s what it looks like.

The heavy cardboard box contains a solid foam cube covered in insulating plastic wrap. Inside are freezer packs – this was completely frozen solid (pretty good, considering it’s already over 90º here!)

Here’s what the box contains:  6 containers of sauce (one a cocktail sauce and one that looks like a remoulade) and 8 healthy-sized crab cakes.  Lemon Tree sells this size for, I think, $6.99 each – Jewel is less, but so’s the quality.

DH bought the $49 for $100 worth of seafood using the livingsocial 30% code in effect at that time (I bought the $180 voucher), so I’d have to say that this is definitely worth the $34.30 he paid, since the crab alone would be over $50, not even including the fresh cocktail and remoulade sauces.
