Goodman Theatre’s A Christmas Carol

Now a beloved Chicago tradition celebrating its 40th anniversary, The Goodman Theatre ushers in the holiday season with its adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story A Christmas Carol. Audiences look forward to the “bah humbugs,” the electrifying arrival of the ghosts, the jubilant musical numbers and dancing, and Scrooge’s joyful rediscovery of life, love and the Christmas spirit. Goodman’s Carol continues to lift heats and spirits after four decades more than a million visitors, and the timeless holiday tale promises to be merrier and more magical than ever. The Daily Herald says the play is “the crown jewel of the holiday season” — find out for yourself or relive the magic again.  Tickets on Goldstar start for the November 17th performance and go through December 19th.

Lady Antebellum + Darius Rucker

The three members of Lady Antebellum perform musical alchemy, blending contemporary country sounds with a bit of retro ’60s soul to create an infectious brew. Hailing from Nashville, Lady Antebellum didn’t need long to be invited to the Grand Ole Opry stage. From there it was on to platinum records, Grammy nominations and hit singles like “Need You Now,” a six-time platinum single that topped charts around the world. Now you can check out this modern music sensation on their summer 2018 tour with Darius Rucker, another Nashville country boy turned superstar thanks to his rise to fame as a member of Hootie & the Blowfish. He’s topped the Billboard country charts since going solo with hits like “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” “It Won’t Be Like This for Long” and “Alright.” See these two country powerhouses at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on September 15th – tickets start at only $24.

Greatest Love of All: Whitney Houston

The acclaimed stage spectacular The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show pays tribute to the late, great songstress by re-creating one of her concert extravaganzas, complete with back-up dancers, six-piece band, costumes and video effects. A hit around the world, the show stars the amazing South African singer Belinda Davids, who matches the original diva’s signature style and vocals via her own four-octave range. And as this loving salute proves, Houston’s personal problems and tragic death in 2012 can’t take away her triumphs — she’s still one of the best-selling artists of all time and the only one ever to top the Billboard chart with seven consecutive No. 1 singles. Hear them all and more performed live at the Rosemont. Tickets for the August 11 performance start at only $18 with this Goldstar deal.
