Goldstar freebie: Widowers’ Houses (George Bernard Shaw)

When published in 1982, George Bernard Shaw’s Widowers’ Houses was considered to be a scathing, hilarious satire on the then-timely topic of slumlords making money for wealthy investors. The work still holds up to this day, and the ShawChicago Theater Company will bring it to life again with this staged reading that captures the intensity, humor and social import of Shaw’s words thanks to a stellar cast of actors.

Goldstar has free tickets for performance through February 10th, although the production continues through the end of the month.
