PSA: Truvia class action lawsuit settlement

en_product_80packetsCargill has agreed to pay claims for persons who purchased their Truvia sweetener.  They are offering either free product vouchers or cash. Here’s the link to the main page of the Settlement.  Here’s also the link to the August 10, 2012 deranged.me post, which had Jewel paying us to shop for a very expensive sweetener!  I bought at least 36 boxes.

“Under the proposed settlement, all persons who from July 1, 2008 through July 24, 2014 (the “Class Period”) resided in the United States and purchased in the United States any of the Truvia Consumer Products for their household use or personal consumption and not for resale are potential class members may be entitled to participate in a proposed class action settlement.”

This Settlement is the result of two lawsuits filed that challenge the labeling and marketing of Cargill’s Truvia Natural Sweetener products as natural products.
