dinner & flood the bath time

PITA and I stopped to check out the Swag Suite (Exchange) one more time before we went out to eat.  Expo ended about 5 or so – there was an off-site closing party (BlogHer provided shuttles) featuring Boys 2 Men.  While this might be a big deal for some people, PITA had no idea of who they were (she might have read it in an ancient history text), while I would have been alive before their infant stage.  So the first go-round to the suite was a big, fat goose egg.  Unbelievable!  On the way out to dinner we stopped and the door was locked (not unexpected).  PITA walked down the corridor a bit where there were women working on tables – – some sort of networking group attached to the show who welcomed us in and said we could have as much as we wanted of any of the bags along the window counter…we shoots, we scores!  Here is a picture from last night after considerable consolidation:

Sheesh, how to they stay in business! Here’s the dinner we shared: hot and sour soup and an order of Singapore mai fun (it’s called by slightly different names at different restaurants and in different cities). photo 1.JPG

Oh, and the flood part? PITA came out of the bathroom (I was in bed), asking if I’d ever gotten water on the floor. I assured her I had and most people drip something after a shower…then I realized that I had taken a bath and there wouldn’t be water coming down from anywhere, so I got up and found she had forgotten to put the shower curtain on the inside of the tub…she’d put four hand towels on the floor and prayed for a drought.

I got up immediately and used four large bath towels and the bath mat and one other bath towel for the finish work…Throw in those four hand towle and the bath tub looks like the home where soggy ole towels so to die. I hope Martha (our extraordinary housekeeper) doesn’t kill us… PITA. Note sure whether I should get the employees discount or billed if the ceiling underneath collapses…

    • Silly, that’s why god invented Subaru Foresters! Also good for hauling 504 liters of Ice Mountain water, those hundreds and hundreds of 2L bottles of pop (I can’t even remember the year or brand) that went to the food bank and my daughter’s school (for special parties and open houses and things of that nature) and “a few” for home use.
