Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day

Tomorrow (4/10) is the annual Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day.  Head on over to your local Scoop Shop between noon and 8 pm for your free scoop.  Like it enough, get back in line for another!  Unfortunately for me, there are only two in the Chicago area:  Glenview and Navy Pier, but if you’re living or working near those two places or live elsewhere in the country, you’re in luck!

Free ARLA cream cheese @ Jewel

IMG_4724

Check out your Jewel for the blinkie that just appeared – it’s got coupons for FREE ARLA cream cheese, any variety.  I don’t know that I’ve EVER seen a coupon for a free product in a blinkie dispenser before!  Valid through 11/19/2017, so stock up.  Value is up to $2.99, the regular shelf price of the spreadable line.  I plan to freeze my extras and use them in soups and stews for creaminess and extra flavor because most of the time cream cheese gets crumbly when frozen and thawed.

Free Eclipse Block Party at Adler

UntitledOn August 21, the Adler Planetarium is hosting Chicago’s biggest eclipse block party featuring all things solar with FREE outdoor activities and safe viewing of the Sun and the eclipse!

In Chicago, the eclipse will begin at approximately 11:54 am. At 1:19 pm, the Moon will block 87% of the Sun.

Join fellow Chicagoans and visitors to our great city to share this spectacular celestial experience together. We’re filling our parking lot with live entertainment, hands-on science for all ages, local food trucks, partners from across the city, eclipse updates, and more.

Additionally, all guests will get #EquippedToEclipse with free safe solar viewing glasses while supplies last.

This event and access to the Adler Planetarium is FREE to the public.

money-making hummus + crackers

IMG_4492Add this high-value Ibotta rebate to your account ASAP and head over to Walmart.  Buy up to 2 Town House cracker + hummus 3pk boxes for $5.46 each (no coupons, sorry) and submit for a $5.50 rebate!  I scanned the Q code in the parking lot and got the credit by the time I hit my driveway; that’s how fast it is!  Great to take for mid-morning or afternoon snacks since they don’t require refrigeration.

What’s Ibotta?  It’s an APP for smart phones that pays you cash for buying stuff you’re buying anyway!  Buy certain products from participating retailers, scan the product UPC and your receipt and get cash back in your Ibotta account
